Pentecostalism is one of the most dynamic forces in twentiethcentury Christianity. In this landmark study, Donald Dayton explains how Pentecostalism grew out of Methodism and the nineteenthcentury holiness revivals. He finds evidence of Wesleyan teaching in the classic writings of many Pentecostal leaders.
